X Account Hacked After Email Address Was Changed Without Permission

On March 12, 2026, the email address associated with my X (Twitter) account, which was registered to l*****************@hotmail.com, was changed without my knowledge or permission, and my account was taken over. I normally accessed my account through a web browser, and after receiving an email at 9:27 AM on September 17, 2026 stating that the email address on my account had been changed, I was completely unable to access my account again.

Although I followed all the steps provided in the email notifying me that my account's email address had been changed, I was unable to recover my account. I then contacted X Support through the in-app support section, but so far I have received no response or resolution, and the account is still not under my control.

I request that X Support thoroughly complete all necessary security checks and restore the account with the username @emrahdagdelen21, registered to l*****************@hotmail.com, to my control along with my original email address. I also expressly state that I do not accept any legal or criminal liability for any posts, messages, or other actions that may be made from this stolen account by anyone other than me. I urgently request that my account be secured and returned to me.
