X Account Hacked and Suspended After Email Was Changed

My Twitter/X account with the username “Cancanadegilca2” was taken over by a third party in April 2026. The email address associated with the account was changed without my permission, and shortly afterward, the account was suspended.

I did not notice the warning sent by X in time because I did not use the account very often. Now, however, the appeals process and notifications are being sent to the email address added by the person who took over my account. As a result, I cannot take any action regarding my account and am unable to properly complete the appeal process.

It is clear that I did not cause this situation and that the account ended up in this state because it was compromised. I therefore request that my account be thoroughly reviewed and fully restored to me, and that the email address associated with the account be changed back to my current email address, which is under my control.
