Whiskas Wet Cat Food Appears Stale During Store Promotion

I frequently purchase Whiskas Chicken and Salmon 4 x 85 g wet cat food from the Migros store in Palandöken, Erzurum. Whenever there was a “Buy 1, Get 1 Free” promotion, I would stock up on these products. However, many of the 15 packages of cat food I purchased on April 20 were completely refused by my cat. The food also had a different smell and texture than usual, and I suspected that it was stale.

Since I have experienced the same issue during these promotions before, I have started to feel that products that are no longer fresh are specifically being put on the shelves during promotional periods. I also reported the issue to the cashier during my most recent purchase, but it was not taken seriously and no further attention was given to the matter.

I request that Migros ensure fresh products are placed on the shelves during promotions and, especially for sensitive products such as pet food, that products approaching their expiration dates or showing signs of compromised quality are not included in promotional campaigns. I also request that the necessary quality checks be carried out and appropriate measures be taken to prevent the same issue from happening again.
