On my Samsung S24 FE running Android 16 / One UI 8.0, I am experiencing an annoying display issue while using WhatsApp. When I open the keyboard to type a message and then close it, a gray area the size of the keyboard remains at the bottom of the screen. The problem temporarily disappears after closing and reopening the app, but it happens again every time I type a message.

This issue has been occurring for the past few days and only within the WhatsApp app — it does not happen in any other applications. My WhatsApp version is 2.25.34.74. I also submitted feedback through the in-app support section and am currently waiting for a response.

I kindly request that both WhatsApp and Samsung investigate this compatibility/display issue together and release the necessary updates to permanently fix this error.

The problem seems to have fixed itself, probably with the new WP update.
