I’ve been unable to access WhatsApp on my Xiaomi 14 device for about eight months. I downloaded the app from the Google Play Store, but every time I try to log in, I get an error message saying: “Unofficial version of WhatsApp detected.” I have been completely unable to use the app since then.
I’ve tried all the basic troubleshooting steps, including uninstalling and reinstalling WhatsApp and restarting my phone, but the issue persists. This problem started after last holiday, when I tried to send a large number of messages at once, and I’ve been seeing the same warning ever since.
When I contacted WhatsApp and Xiaomi customer support, I was told the issue originated from WhatsApp itself. However, there are no restrictions or ban notifications on my account.
