Western Union Fees Suddenly Increased

I regularly send ARS to Argentina through Yapı Kredi in TL, using Western Union. Normally, the transfer fee is ₺165, but today it unexpectedly jumped to ₺960. Since the transfer was urgent, I had no choice but to proceed. Afterward, I called Western Union customer service, and the representative, who spoke inadequate Turkish, told me that the fees are calculated instantly and that this was normal. Unsatisfied with this explanation, I immediately canceled the transfer. I then checked the fee on the Western Union website, which still showed ₺165. I’m left wondering what is going on with Western Union and why the fees have suddenly skyrocketed without any clear reason.
