Trivago Confirmed My Booking but the Hotel Gave Away My Room

I made a reservation through Trivago for a one-night stay at Bursa Yeşil Butik Otel, checking in on June 27 and checking out on June 28. I paid approximately $36 online with my credit card for the reservation. When we arrived at the hotel on the evening of June 27 to check in, I was informed that the room I had reserved had been given to another guest.

The hotel staff claimed that Trivago reservations had been closed, even though I had successfully completed the booking and received a confirmation. Despite this, no alternative accommodation or other solution was offered. My concerns were ignored, and the payment I made was never refunded.

I request an immediate full refund of the approximately $36 I paid for this reservation. I also expect Trivago and the hotel to investigate why my confirmed reservation was not honored and to resolve this issue without further delay.
