Wego Canceled My Confirmed Flight Without Notice and Delayed My Refund
On May 30, 2026, I purchased a flight ticket through Wego.com for an Izmir–Gaziantep flight departing at 6:00 AM. After completing the purchase, I received an official confirmation email stating that my ticket had been successfully issued and that no further action was required on my part.
However, when I later checked my reservation, I discovered that the ticket had been canceled without my knowledge or authorization. I never submitted a cancellation request, and I was not informed in a timely manner that my booking had been canceled. As a result, I was left without a valid reservation and suffered significant inconvenience and financial loss.
The ticket cost $81, and this amount has still not been refunded to my account. In addition, by the time I became aware of the cancellation, ticket prices for the same travel date had increased substantially, leaving me exposed to additional costs if I wished to continue with my travel plans.
The reservation number associated with this booking is WF521FWGT4R26. Due to the unauthorized cancellation and the lack of proper notification, I request the immediate refund of the full $81 ticket price. Furthermore, I request compensation for the price difference and any other financial losses directly caused by the cancellation of my confirmed reservation.
I expect Wego to investigate this matter promptly and provide a detailed written explanation regarding why the reservation was canceled, why I was not notified in advance, and how the company intends to compensate me for the losses and inconvenience I experienced.
