WeChat Blocks New Account Registration Without QR Code Verification From Existing User
I am a user from Pakistan trying to create a new WeChat account on my Android phone. I successfully verified my phone number via SMS, but after that step, the application requires an existing WeChat user to scan a QR code to complete registration. Since I do not know anyone who uses WeChat, I am unable to complete the account setup. Because of this requirement, I cannot start using WeChat or access any of its services, even after providing my phone number and completing the SMS verification step. This creates an unnecessary barrier for new users, especially in regions with fewer existing WeChat users. Could you please remove the requirement for existing users to scan a QR code for new account registrations in cases like mine, or at least provide an alternative verification method so I can complete my registration and start using WeChat? Please allow new users to register manually without any QR-based verification or bank payment method, so that people like me, who do not know any existing users, can still create an account safely and easily.
