Unable to Complete WeChat Registration Due to Date of Birth Timeout Error

I downloaded WeChat and had my friend from China scan the QR code for verification. Everything seemed fine, but when I enter my date of birth, I get a “timeout error” every time. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but the same issue persists. I’m really frustrated and can’t figure out how to fix this problem. If anyone has experienced this or knows how to solve it, please help! I just want to complete the registration and start using WeChat. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
