Wattpad Ban Blocks Access to Educational and Inspiring Stories

On July 12, 2024, access to Wattpad was blocked in Turkey, reportedly due to the prevalence of +18 content. While addressing inappropriate material is important, this decision has unfairly impacted countless users who rely on Wattpad for harmless, educational, and inspiring stories. It has also affected many writers who were unable to finish or share their works, effectively silencing their creativity and dreams.

The blanket ban penalizes the entire community instead of targeting specific issues. I urge Wattpad and the relevant authorities to reconsider this action. Implement better content regulation without banning access to valuable stories and opportunities for aspiring writers. Please address this issue fairly and restore access to the platform.
