Volkswagen Has Not Resolved App-Connect Issues on My 2024 Taigo After Three Months

I am the owner of a 2024 Volkswagen Taigo 1.0 (Style package), which I purchased three months ago. Since the day I bought the car, I have been experiencing persistent connection issues with the App-Connect feature. I have tested it with multiple phones, but the problem remains unresolved. I have visited three different dealerships and contacted customer service multiple times. Unfortunately, they all provided the same explanation: a software update is required, and the issue might be resolved after its release. However, there is no clear information on when this update will be available—it could take 10 days or even 1-2 years. I have already been waiting for three months without any resolution. I chose Volkswagen because of its long-standing reputation for quality and reliability, but this experience has been deeply disappointing. The App-Connect feature is extremely important to me, as I live in a new city and rely on it for navigation and phone calls. I urgently request Volkswagen's support to resolve this issue. Having faced this problem since the very first day of owning the vehicle, I believe immediate action is necessary to address my concerns. Thank you for your attention and assistance.

Update: In December 2024, I called the headquarters and they said that no update request had been made. They indicated that I needed to go to the service again. I went to the service again on 29.01.2025. The service said that there was a system with the code 9wt in my vehicle and that it actually had a wired connection, not a wireless connection. Even though I said that this feature was in my vehicle, they wrote on the authorized service report that this feature is not in your vehicle. I requested the official document and stated that I would seek my legal rights. Then I called the Volkswagen headquarters. After a 2-day investigation, they admitted that there was a system called 9wj in my vehicle and that the authorized service had misled me. Mr. Emir from the headquarters stated that this feature was in the vehicle, but the connection with the phone was not stable because a low-segment screen was installed. They stated that I am currently using the most up-to-date version, that a process like reinstalling software on the device cannot be done, and that they just have to wait for an update. They said that even if another screen is installed, it would provide the same performance. Unfortunately, when I asked them to officially send me these via email, they stated that they did not have such authority. 1. Unfortunately, the authorized services do not have sufficient knowledge. 2. They mislead and insist on what they know despite my insistence. 3. Both the headquarters and the authorized service are concerned. However, unfortunately, they cannot find a solution. It is also seen that Volkswagen is lagging behind its competitors in technological matters. 4. They do not want to provide an official document. Considering all these, I do not want to approach the Vag group again. I decided to wait until the annual maintenance. If no update has come by the time 1 year is up, I will seek my legal rights.

Update: Volkswagen filed an objection lawsuit in order not to comply with the decision of the Consumer Arbitration Committee. The case lasted about 3-4 months and I won the case. The court ordered Volkswagen to repair or replace the multimedia system. However, the company called me and said that no matter what, they could not do this, that the vehicles were produced in different batches for Europe and Turkey, and that my vehicle was one of those produced for Europe. Therefore, the wireless connection in the vehicle was active, but since the software was unlicensed, connection interruptions were normal. And they said there was nothing they could do because they could not provide a license for the vehicles in Turkey. Although I insisted on solving this problem, unfortunately, I got tired and we looked for another solution. They said I could get an option close to the amount determined by the court (about 22,000 TL) or they would offer free annual maintenance. And I accepted the free annual maintenance. The process went like this. However, unfortunately, I could not reach the solution I wanted. I am leaving this here as a warning to those who will buy this vehicle or similar Volkswagen vehicles. Maybe it is not a big problem, maybe someone else would not care at all. But I use this feature very frequently.
