VakıfBank Seized My Salary Promotion Payment
On September 30, 2025, an amount of ₺99,500 was deposited into my account as part of the Ministry of Justice’s VakıfBank salary promotion payment. However, immediately after the deposit, the entire amount was seized by the bank under the description “collection from monitored customer.” My debts are already under enforcement proceedings, and deductions are being made directly from my salary. Moreover, there is no decision from the enforcement office authorizing the bank to impose such a deduction or block. I believe this action is unlawful under the Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law, Supreme Court precedents, and the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502. Since the promotion payment is directly related to my salary, I demand that this amount be refunded to me. Otherwise, I will pursue legal action.
Progress
I was receiving a salary promotion from VakıfBank Kağıthane Branch. As per the agreement and contract I made with the bank, a regular promotion payment was made to me every 3 years. However, on 30.09.2025, without any contract termination or written notification, the entire amount of my promotion (99,500 TL) was deducted by the bank and I was victimized.
After this situation, I called customer service, but I was only told that I needed to go to the branch. So far, no other information has been provided and no justification has been given as to why my promotion was cut. My customer number: 1823.
My expectation from VakıfBank is that my victimization is resolved and the full amount of my promotion is refunded to me.
