A package was sent to me via UPS from Istanbul and marked as delivered on April 29, 2025. However, when I checked the tracking number on May 6, the system showed no update, and customer service told me that the sender had only generated the barcode but hadn’t actually handed over the package.
I then contacted the sender, and they clearly stated that the package had been handed over to UPS on April 29. After all this back and forth and days of confusion, UPS suddenly delivered the package on the same day they insisted it didn’t exist in their system.
This entire situation reveals that UPS’s tracking system is unreliable and not updated in real time. It’s impossible to follow the package's journey, and no one at UPS seemed to know where it was until the very last moment.
Because of this disorganized experience, I strongly advise against using UPS unless you absolutely have to. Local carriers are far more transparent and accountable. UPS, your system needs serious improvement—and customers deserve better clarity, reliability, and communication.
