We have been working with UPS under a business agreement for a long time. However, during June, July, and August, we were unexpectedly billed for extra service fees—specifically $36.4 per shipment, totaling $509.6 USD. These charges appeared on certain shipments made from Istanbul (European Side).
When we contacted UPS Turkey customer service, we were told that since the number of our shipments was considered low, the exemption was not applied, and therefore these extra charges were billed. This explanation is unacceptable. We already have a formal agreement with UPS, and yet additional costs were added without prior notice or consent.
We demand that:
The $509.6 USD unjustified extra fees be refunded immediately,
UPS guarantee that such hidden charges will not be applied again,
Clear and transparent billing practices be implemented for all contracted customers.
We entered this agreement with the expectation of fair and predictable costs, not surprise invoices. UPS must take accountability and resolve this issue promptly to maintain trust.
