Turkcell Charged an Excessive Early Termination Fee for 5 Days of Use

On December 23, 2025, I switched my postpaid mobile line (0552****990) at Turkcell to a contracted plan costing approximately $12 per month. Shortly afterward, I noticed that Vodafone was offering a plan with the same features plus additional benefits at nearly half the price, so on December 28, 2025, I transferred my number to Vodafone. Turkcell is now demanding an early termination fee of approximately $15 for only five days of usage. When I compare this amount to the actual usage period and the service provided, this fee seems extremely excessive and unreasonable. Moreover, when I contacted customer service, I was given no detailed explanation and was simply told, “You have to pay it; there’s no choice,” which was also very disturbing. Considering my very short usage period and the total contract amount, I request that this early termination fee be canceled, or if that is not possible, that it be recalculated and reduced to a reasonable level.
