Troy Charged Me ₺7-8.000 for My 2nd Generation AirPods Pro Repair Under Warranty
On January 26, 2023, I encountered an issue with the right side of my 2nd Generation AirPods Pro not charging and dying immediately. This problem started about three months ago, but due to my busy work schedule, I couldn’t take it to the service center sooner. A week ago, I finally submitted the device to the authorized service center since the warranty was still valid. However, they claimed to have found damage and requested a repair fee of around ₺7-8.000, stating the issue wasn’t covered under warranty. The AirPods were never dropped or hit hard, except for a minor slip from my hand, which shouldn’t cause such severe damage. If such minor incidents result in major issues and repairs aren’t covered under warranty, it raises concerns about Apple’s reliability. As someone who has purchased many Apple products for personal and business use, I find this approach unacceptable. I am writing this not because I need new AirPods, but because this experience doesn’t align with the standard I expect from a brand like Apple.
