Telegram One-Time SMS Fee Requires Premium Just to Register

I downloaded the Telegram app to my Android phone through Google Play. When I tried to register in order to use the app, I was shown a screen titled “One-Time SMS Fee” stating that high SMS costs require me to purchase a one-week Telegram Premium subscription. In other words, I am being asked to pay for a subscription simply to complete the registration process.

I did not accept the fee requested on this screen, and even after trying several times, I continue to receive the same payment request every time. I do not consider it reasonable to be charged for a basic registration process in a free messaging app.

I am asking Telegram to contact me regarding this issue, provide the necessary assistance so that I can register and use the app normally without paying any fee, and resolve this problem.
