Tefal Pans I Bought Fell Apart and They Refused to Replace

In 2022, we purchased a 6-piece cookware set from Tefal. Within just 2–3 years, two of the pans completely separated from their bases—as if they were glued together with cheap craft glue. When we took them to the service center, they said the warranty had expired in December 2024, so they couldn’t help. However, when we contacted their call center, they investigated and admitted it was a product defect, and replaced the items. So far, so good. But it didn’t stop there. Just a few months later, another pot from the same set also detached from the base in exactly the same way. When I called Tefal again and explained it was from the same faulty set, they simply said: “Your warranty expired long ago. We already helped once as a one-time exception. There’s nothing more we can do.” In other words, Tefal is essentially telling its customers: “Our products are only expected to last 3 years. After that, throw them away.” This is extremely disappointing, especially considering how expensive this set is today. For a brand like Tefal, I expected better quality and real customer support. But this experience clearly shows otherwise. I’m sharing this so others are aware: If you’re looking for durability, long-term quality, and responsive support — you might want to think twice before buying Tefal.

They rang the phone twice at 08:53 in the morning, for 4-5 seconds. Working hours start at 9. They called knowing we wouldn't answer at that time, just so they could say 'we called, you didn't answer.' They still haven't called back, a totally uninterested company, stay away. We will take the issue to Consumer Rights.

Today at 16:06, I spoke with Ms. Şeyma from the Tefal call center regarding the issues I experienced with my pots. She said they could not help because the warranty period had expired. I asked her if the general lifespan of the products was 2.5–3 years, and she replied, 'Yes.' I asked what I should have done to prevent them from breaking, and she said, 'You shouldn’t use them on high heat.' I asked, 'Are home stoves suitable?' and she replied, 'Yes, home-type stoves are suitable.' I said, 'If the bottom of the product falls off even though we use it normally at home, what should we do?' She closed the topic by saying, 'There’s nothing to be done.' So, Tefal customer service clearly admitted that their products have a lifespan of 2.5–3 years. Be careful! If you are considering buying a product from Tefal, act knowing this fact. Don’t waste your money and don’t be deceived.
