Tatilox Demanded Full Balance After Family Funeral Forced Booking Cancellation
I made a booking through Tatilox for a vacation scheduled for May 14, 2026, with a total agreed cost of $375. I paid $120 as a deposit for this reservation, which was recorded under code "666." Due to a death in our family, we were forced to inform them that we could not attend the trip.
Even though I notified them one day prior to the trip that we could not travel due to a funeral, they demanded payment for the entire trip cost and refused to refund my paid deposit. Throughout this process, despite speaking with customer service multiple times, their responses were severely delayed and offered no timely assistance.
Taking into account this extraordinary circumstance and hardship, I agree to let them retain my $120 deposit; however, I request that the remaining balance beyond this deposit not be demanded from me and that no additional charges be billed to me.
