Tatilox Canceled My Villa Booking After Double-Booking and Kept My Deposit
On July 23, 2026, I booked a villa through the Tatilox website and paid a $550 deposit. After completing all transactions smoothly through the site, we arranged our entire vacation schedule accordingly.
The following day, on July 24, 2026, I received a phone call from Tatilox informing me that the villa owner had rented the property to someone else without notifying the agency, and that my reservation was therefore canceled. Throughout this process, no written cancellation message or formal notice was sent to me; everything was communicated strictly over the phone.
Following this issue, Tatilox offered us only the option to change our travel dates, which we could not accept since all our plans were built around those specific dates. They failed to offer an alternative villa of equal standard and price, instead mentioning higher-priced options without presenting a solution that actually addressed our grievance. I am deeply disappointed that the entire burden of this issue with the villa owner was dumped onto us.
I demand that my $550 deposit be refunded to me in full, and that the company adopt a truly solution-oriented approach that stands by its customers in such situations.
