Tatilox Charged My Card Twice After Promising a Cancellation
For my vacation reservation made through Tatilox for the dates June 20–22, a payment was processed on June 21 after I was redirected by a Tatilox customer service representative calling from a phone number ending in 02 53. During this call, $486 was charged to my credit card. I was told that this charge would be canceled within one hour and that I should instead make the payment directly at the property where I was staying.
On June 22, a second charge was made to my credit card. In multiple conversations with the same customer service representative at different times, I was repeatedly told that the first transaction had been canceled and that it would disappear from my credit card statement. However, when my July statement was issued, both charges appeared, and no refund had been processed.
