Tailwind Airlines Caused Major Delays and Missed Flights – No Support Provided

We purchased a trip to Budva through Jolly Tur, with a flight on Tailwind Airlines scheduled for 6:00 PM on June 20th from Podgorica Airport. At 5:30 PM, we were instructed to go to the gate, where we stood for over 40 minutes without any information. A different gate attendant eventually informed us that the plane hadn’t arrived, yet no one from your team came to give us any updates. Apparently, you don’t even have a ground service representative at the airport. Despite the legal time limit, no one from your side assisted us. The airport is very small with limited seating and dining options. It was announced on the billboards that the flight would depart at 8:40 PM, but during this time, we received no communication from you. The flight finally left at 8:40 PM, but because of the delay, we missed our 11:55 PM connecting flight from Istanbul to Adana, which we had purchased separately. Since it was during the holiday season, we couldn’t find another flight to Adana.

The flight attendants had assured us that ground services would help us catch our connection, but this never happened. The ground services weren’t even aware of the situation. We were made to wait for the bus to fill up before being taken to passport control, further reducing our chances of making the flight. Both of our tickets were wasted. Since there were no flights to Adana, we had to buy tickets for a flight to Gaziantep at 1:45 AM, which was the closest option to Adana. We had to pay for the extra ticket out of pocket.

We contacted Tailwind Airlines by phone and email, and while they initially claimed they would help, they later told us we wouldn’t receive any compensation, which is ridiculous. Tailwind Airlines is a huge regret, and Jolly Tur remained silent throughout this whole ordeal. Both companies are a major disappointment.
