Tag Heuer Connected E4 Fell Apart While Swimming – 10-Week Wait for Replacement
I purchased a Tag Heuer Connected E4 smartwatch for $2,200, expecting premium quality. Since it’s a smartwatch, I used it to track my swimming workouts, assuming it was built to withstand water exposure. However, on September 29, 2024, while swimming in a pool, the screen completely detached from the body, allowing water to enter and ruin the watch.
For a luxury smartwatch, this is completely unacceptable. But the frustration didn’t stop there—when I sent it in for warranty service, I was told that everything except the strap would be replaced, yet the replacement could take up to 10 weeks! Despite repeatedly asking via email why I should wait that long if most of the watch is being replaced, I received no clear response.
Not only did the watch fall apart while swimming, but Tag Heuer’s customer service is also making the experience even worse by keeping me waiting for 10 weeks without a proper explanation. How can such an expensive smartwatch fail like this? I demand a faster resolution! Has anyone else had this issue? Tag Heuer, do better!
