On July 12, 2025, I bought a pair of New Balance 1906R Unisex Green Sneakers (Size 42) for about ₺6,200 from SuperStep. I only wore the shoes three times before a serious defect appeared on the sole of the right shoe by July 18. I have photographic evidence showing the damage. I returned the shoes to the Sak Cadde54 branch on July 21, and the return was logged under ticket SUP121573 as “Accepted via Photograph.” However, the store gave me no formal receipt—only allowed me to take a photo of their system screen. Despite visiting the store several times, I was told vague excuses like “the product is on the way.” As of August 7, the staff told me the same model is no longer available and that I would need to pay extra if I wanted a different item. But I am not asking for something completely different—I want the same model in grey (New Balance 1906 Lifestyle Unisex Grey Sneakers, Size 42), which is currently priced between ₺9,200–₺9,700. Under Article 11 of Turkish Consumer Law No. 6502, I am entitled to a free replacement for defective goods without paying the difference. Despite this, the store manager dismissed my request and told me to take it to the Consumer Arbitration Committee. I am not requesting a refund—I am demanding that my legal right to a free replacement be respected, and I expect the alternative color of the same model to be provided at no extra cost. If it becomes unavailable, I will only accept an equivalent item in value and quality.
