I Got Sick Before My Trip, and Stayforlong Still Won't Refund My $673

I made a reservation at the Charisma De Luxe Hotel in Kuşadası for the dates July 2-4, 2026, for two people, through the Stayforlong website, paying approximately $673 by credit card. I had to cancel the trip because I contracted a severe kidney infection just three days before the travel date.
I immediately reported this to the hotel by phone on 06/29/2026. Even though I had missed the cancellation deadline, the hotel stated that reporting the situation to the booking agency and filling out a form would be sufficient, and that a refund would be issued this way. Following this, I also contacted Stayforlong on 06/29/2026, explained the situation in detail, and provided them with all the medical documents and applications they requested.
At the end of this entire process, Stayforlong completely rejected my request, stating that even though the hotel had used its discretion and agreed to the refund, the payment wouldn't be refunded and would still be collected, since this wasn't in line with their own policies. Despite having a serious health issue and despite the hotel's positive stance toward a refund, the intermediary company's rigid handling and complete disregard for my hardship left me extremely disappointed.
In line with the hotel's own guidance, and taking into account this documented medical necessity supported by medical records, I am requesting that Stayforlong refund the approximately $673 payment for reservation number 9260518052044651955.
