Starbucks Galataport Didn’t Provide Cup Holder or Napkins with My Hot Latte
I had a very disappointing experience at the Starbucks location inside Galataport. I purchased a hot latte to drink while walking, but the staff didn’t provide a cup holder (sleeve)—something essential for handling hot beverages. When I asked for one, I was told, “We’re out, sorry.” No napkins were available either.
How can a brand selling one of the most expensive coffees in the world fail to provide basic items like a cup sleeve or a napkin? This is a serious lack of service and customer care. As a result, my hand was burned, and apparently that’s now considered the customer’s problem.
I find this unacceptable. Starbucks keeps raising prices while the quality of service in Turkey drops lower each time. If you can’t even supply the basics to support your premium-priced drinks, why should anyone continue supporting the brand?
I will never purchase from Starbucks again and expect an apology and compensation in ₺ for the poor service and physical discomfort I experienced. It’s time Starbucks re-evaluated its priorities and commitment to customer experience in Turkey.
