Sony wi-c200 Headphones Malfunctioning On/Off Button - Seeking Fair Resolution
I got these Sony wi-c200 headphones, but dang, the warranty's already expired, almost around the same time the on/off button on my headset started not working or acting up... It's totally busted because it's made of flimsy plastic. So, I can't turn the headset on or off. I live in Bakırköy and I've tried reaching out to different Sony stores around here for help, but no luck so far. Unfortunately, none of them could help because they don't have the part I need in stock. Instead of helping me out with my problem, they just told me to hit up other dealers without even bothering to ask for the model number. It made me feel like they didn't care and left me super annoyed. I was trying to get some help and ended up reaching out to the Sony support center. But, their response was pretty disappointing. Even though I explained what was going on, all they did was give me some numbers for authorized service centers. when I asked about getting help for a product that's past its warranty, they basically said they can't do anything except remote troubleshooting. should we just toss out a product that's past its warranty? by law, companies gotta hook you up with parts for, like, 5 to 10 years, but they might charge you for it. But it seems like Sony isn't really on board with this responsibility. Even when the authorized service centers fail to assist, the Sony support representative did not offer any meaningful guidance or solution. Also, when I asked about going to the Consumer Court for help, they didn't even bother to answer. They just brushed me off. I guess I have to think about taking this to the Consumer Court. I think it's super important for companies to do their part and make sure they keep providing essential stuff for a decent amount of time, even after the warranty is up. I'm totally determined to find a fair and appropriate solution to this situation.
