Tickets.com Created an Account Without My Consent During Skyscanner Booking
Hello everyone. While searching for affordable flights on Skyscanner, I came across a ticket offered through Tickets.com. As I was completing the booking process, I suddenly received an email stating, "You have successfully created an account on our site."
I never gave permission for any account to be created, nor did I enter personal details such as my ID or other sensitive information. How is it even possible to be registered on a site without explicitly submitting data or agreeing to terms? More concerning, the system seems to have automatically assumed I wanted my credit card saved without my consent.
This is a clear violation of data protection laws. I am now left questioning the security and ethics of transactions done via Skyscanner, especially when third-party platforms like Tickets.com are involved. Users deserve transparency and full control over their personal data—not silent auto-registration that compromises privacy.
