Skyscanner Charged Me Double for My Car Rental Without Any Warning
I live abroad and used Skyscanner to rent a car while visiting my home country. The booking process was smooth—no extra info or documents were requested. But just two hours before pickup, I was told I’d have to pay double the price because I didn’t arrive from abroad today.
This condition was never mentioned during the booking. If it was mandatory, why didn’t the system warn me before finalizing the reservation? Now I’m stuck without a car, and they say I can’t get a refund. I’ve tried contacting Skyscanner, but they keep pushing me to the supplier, and the supplier redirects me again.
Skyscanner, this is completely unacceptable. I demand a full refund of the ₺20,000 I was told is now lost. I’ll pursue this through every legal and public channel if necessary. No one should go through this—do not rent a car through the site without getting direct confirmation first.
