Skoda Refuses Permanent Fix for Recurring Start-Stop System Fault

June 30 2:38 PM

For about a year and a half now, I've been getting a start-stop malfunction warning every morning on the first start-up in my 2019 Skoda Kodiaq. After driving the vehicle for a while and then turning it off and restarting it, the warning disappears, but the yellow check-engine light stays on. When it's connected to a diagnostic computer, an ignition misfire fault shows up.
During this process, on a mechanic's recommendation, I had the spark plugs, battery, and ignition coil replaced at an independent shop, and I also had the intake manifold carbon buildup cleaned and the throttle body cleaned. Despite all these procedures and the expenses involved, the same problem stubbornly persists.
I kindly ask that Skoda get in touch with me regarding this chronic malfunction, thoroughly investigate the issue, and provide me with a clear, permanent solution. I expect the grievance I've experienced to be resolved and for the necessary technical support to be provided so this same problem doesn't happen again.
