Sixt Sarajevo Airport Keeps €500 Deposit 8 Days After Car Returned With No Damage
On November 3, 2025, I rented a Renault Clio from the Sixt Sarajevo Airport branch. I was told the rental fee would be €161, and that a €500 deposit would be charged and returned to my card within 7 days. In total, 1,292 BAM was charged to my card — 977 BAM as the deposit and the remainder as the rental fee.
I returned the car without any issues on November 9, 2025, at around 12:00 PM, and there were no damage claims or additional charges. Despite that, 8 days have now passed and my deposit has still not been returned to my account. I have tried to contact Sixt but could not find any email address or communication channel to reach them through.
I am demanding that my deposit be refunded as soon as possible and expect an urgent resolution to this matter.
