Simple Life App Charges $44 Fee Without Notice and Blocks Email Verification Codes
I subscribed to Simple Life by paying a fee of around $7. Since I did not like the program, I wanted to cancel my subscription before the next renewal period. Within the system, there was an option to "notify me when the next membership fee is due." Since I did not want to pay for the following month, I selected this option and planned to cancel after receiving the notification.
However, no notification was sent, nor was my consent requested before processing the payment. I discovered by chance that a charge of $44 was made from my card on August 7, 2026. I received no goods or services for this amount, nor do I wish to receive any. Furthermore, when I try to cancel my subscription, I am unable to complete the cancellation process through the system.
I attempted to have a verification code sent to my email address multiple times (around 10 times), yet no code ever reached me, making it impossible to log into my account and cancel the subscription. Charging a high amount without prior notice or consent, combined with blocking the cancellation process, constitutes fraudulent behavior.
I demand that Simple Life immediately refund the $44 charged from my card and completely cancel my subscription today without imposing any additional conditions. Otherwise, I want to state clearly that I will pursue legal action regarding the unfair treatment I have suffered and this unauthorized charge.
