Siemens Does Not Fix My Washing Machine Because It is 10 Years Old
The Siemens iq 700 does not work properly; when I start a program, it switches to another phase one after the other, emitting beeps, stopping, restarting, waiting, and starting again. Sometimes the cycle finishes, sometimes it stops before all linens are completely washed in water. The authorized service came and said, "We no longer manufacture the screen, so throw it away and buy a new one"!!! So I should throw away the machine because Siemens no longer produces the screen? Its memory card was replaced less than two years ago for a good price, and now I'm throwing it away due to Siemens' production-marketing policies? Bravo👏👏👏 Is Simenes' "throw it away in 10 years" consumption policy limited to Turkey or can it also apply to users in Germany? I need my machine fixed as soon as possible. Thx
Progress
After writing the following complaint, Siemens called me and said that they produce parts for their products for a maximum of 10 years, that this is a result of state policy, and that there is nothing they can do about it. In short, a machine that was renewed just 2 years ago with a part they call the brain, and which normally stands in perfect condition, has to be thrown away just because of a screen malfunction. It is very clear that Siemens' "sustainability" efforts in this era do not align with a throwaway policy when something breaks, and all your communications in this direction are very insincere and misleading.
"Siemens IQ 700 washing machine, after starting, the commands on the screen keep changing, it pauses, sometimes the washing stops halfway, sometimes it completes. The memory card was renewed two years ago. We paid quite a high amount to have it repaired. We called the service again, and they said, "the screen is broken, these screens are no longer produced, the machine is trash, buy a new one." They took the 450 TL service fee and left.
Dear Siemens, what kind of technology understanding is this? What kind of service philosophy is this? What kind of "anything goes to increase my sales" morality is this? Is not producing the screen of a 10-year-old machine your universal business ethics? Is it German ethics or the work ethic you show to the Turkish people you work with? We will do what is necessary to investigate whether this type of service is also valid in Germany. I urgently request the repair of my machine.
No one offered a solution on this matter, I was called by the call center, and then they said they would call me back and hung up. That's it. Therefore, there is no development that deserves a positive evaluation.
