Children with sensitive teeth can get relief from Sensodyne, but it's important to always put safety first, especially for kids. Because kids younger than 3 years old might swallow too much toothpaste, most Sensodyne toothpastes are not recommended for them. Some Sensodyne formulas have fluoride in them, which is bad for you if you take a lot of it.
Teenagers and kids older than 6 can get toothpaste from Sensodyne which is made just for them. For kids older than 6 years old, this toothpaste is safe to use as long as they follow the directions, like brushing twice a day and spitting out the toothpaste to avoid swallowing it.
But it's important to talk to your child's dentist before giving them any new toothpaste, even Sensodyne, no matter what age they are. Your child's dentist can give you personalized advice based on their oral health needs and make sure that the toothpaste you choose is safe and effective for them.
