I bought a Samsung UE55TU8500UXTK TV from Vatan Bilgisayar on 22.07.2021. Yesterday, it started turning off and on by itself, getting stuck on the screen displaying "Smart TV by Tizen" with flickering text, while the remote control's light flashes. Ironically, this malfunction occurs just 8 months after the warranty expires. Of course, the warranty period is two years. We've always trusted Samsung as a reliable and quality brand, but it seems a series of production errors are being passed on to the customer, showing that quality isn't just a name, it's a standard, and the company's integrity has become ordinary. I'll never let Samsung back into my home again. I bought this device at a considerable price, not as an entry-level TV, but because I trusted its quality and brand.
Forums and complaint sites informed me of the issue, as the technical service, available from 08:00 to 20:00, wasn't accessible. I found two similar complaints, one involving costs of around ₺9,000 and the other ₺11,000. Isn't a lifespan of 30 months too short for a TV, especially one we scrimped and saved for, trusting in its reliability? Tomorrow (13.03.2024), I'll contact the Denizli technical service to schedule an appointment. They'll likely charge for inspection and panel replacement. I believe all these fees should be covered by Samsung, the brand that sold the defective product. Otherwise, with my invoice in hand, I'll seek my rights through the Consumer Arbitration Board and consumer courts. I convinced at least 5 people in my circle to buy your brand by singing your praises, but if necessary, I'll buy a new TV from your competitors instead of repairing this faulty product and pursue legal action against you. Please resolve this chronic issue before it affects consumers.
