Ryanair Lost Suitcase and €515 Reimbursement Complaint
On September 4, 2026, on our Ryanair flight FR93 from Cologne (CGN) to Porto (OPO), we checked in three suitcases, but when we arrived at Porto Airport, we were able to collect only two of them. One of our suitcases was missing. It contained personal care products and many essential items we needed for our daily lives, so we immediately reported the missing baggage to the lost baggage department at the airport. A baggage claim file was opened for us under reference number OPOFR13808.
Ryanair informed us that if we submitted the receipts and invoices for any necessary purchases we had to make starting September 6, 2026, these expenses would be reimbursed. As a result, between September 6 and September 12, we had to spend approximately €515 on essential items to replace the products that were inside the missing suitcase, and we kept all of the receipts. We then tried to complete the claim form through the link provided by Ryanair, but the website repeatedly returned an error and we were unable to complete the process.
We also reported this technical issue by email, but we have been unable to reach anyone who can assist us, and we cannot properly submit our claim through the system. We have already been inconvenienced by the loss of our baggage, and we are now being disadvantaged a second time because the reimbursement process provided to us does not work.
Regarding our lost baggage claim under reference number OPOFR13808 and our reimbursement request for approximately €515 in necessary expenses incurred during this period, I request that the claim be processed manually, taking the technical error in the system into account, and that our losses and inconvenience be resolved as soon as possible.
