Samsonite Refuses Paid Repair for School Bag
Approximately two years ago, I purchased a Samsonite school bag for my daughter and paid approximately $102 for it at the time. The only problem that developed with the bag was an issue with the zipper coming apart. Unfortunately, the warranty period had expired by only a few days. Nevertheless, rather than throwing the bag away, I wanted to have it repaired at my own expense.
On September 16, 2026, I took the bag to the Samsonite store at Forum Istanbul and requested a paid repair. Approximately one week later, I was informed that the bag could not be repaired. I was extremely disappointed that, despite the high price I had paid for the product, no solution could be provided for such a basic zipper problem.
The fact that a school bag I purchased two years ago at such a high price could not be repaired either under warranty or even as a paid repair because of a zipper issue is far below what I expected from a brand like Samsonite. I request that my bag be repaired if at all possible. If a repair is genuinely not possible, I expect Samsonite to offer a reasonable solution that takes customer satisfaction into consideration. Otherwise, I want to make it clear that I will express my dissatisfaction with this experience by choosing not to purchase from the brand again and by sharing my experience with others.
