Resume Coach Hidden Fees After Resume Download Attempt
I am filing a complaint regarding misleading billing practices on the Resume Coach website. On December 12, 2025, while searching on Google for CV examples, I was directed to the Resume Coach site. The website’s design and user flow gave the impression that the services were free. I selected a CV template and created my resume, and during this process, I did not see any clear or explicit information about fees or subscriptions.
At the stage where I wanted to download my CV, I was asked to pay $1.95 USD, which I accepted. However, after this transaction, I noticed that an additional charge of $29.95 USD was also taken from my card. There was no clear prior disclosure about this $29.95 charge, nor was my consent clearly obtained for it. After realizing this charge, I did not download anything and did not use the service. The payment was taken from my credit/debit card, and the last four digits of my card are 8477.
I believe Resume Coach is causing harm to users through misleading and non-transparent pricing practices. Therefore, I am requesting a full refund of the $29.95 USD that was charged without my clear consent and the immediate cancellation of any subscription that may have been created in relation to this charge.
