Refund Request From Resumaker.ai



On 14 June 2026 I used Resumaker.ai and clearly selected and paid for what was presented as a one‑time CV download. I made this payment via my Visa card issued by Sampath Bank, and there was no clear information on the page indicating that this would turn into a recurring subscription or any automatic renewal. Despite this, on 5 July 2026 an additional amount of 5,990 LKR was deducted from the same card without my consent or prior notice. As soon as I noticed this unexpected charge, I contacted both Resumaker.ai and my bank. Sampath Bank informed me that they could not arrange a refund and advised me to change my card to avoid any further unauthorized charges. Resumaker.ai replied that everything was allegedly explained in their payment policy and that this was a transparent transaction, which I do not agree with, as I purchased what was clearly shown as a one‑time payment. After that response I emailed them again requesting a refund, but they have not replied. On the same day the 5,990 LKR was deducted, I immediately cancelled the subscription and I have the cancellation confirmation email as proof, and I have not used any additional service after that deduction. I request a full refund of the 5,990 LKR that was charged on 5 July 2026 and written confirmation that no further amounts will be taken from my card.
