Qatar Airways Missed Connection – No Support or Communication at Kuala Lumpur Airport
On December 9th, we had a connecting flight with Qatar Airways: Denpasar–Kuala Lumpur–Doha–SAW, departing at 21:55. Due to AirAsia’s flight from Denpasar departing at 23:15, we arrived in Kuala Lumpur only to find that the Qatar Airways flight had already closed its gates.
Navigating the airport was complicated, as we were taken to another terminal by private transport, which took an additional 30 minutes. When we finally arrived, we couldn’t find any Qatar Airways representatives who could help us. Instead, we were told, “There’s nothing we can do,” and were redirected to Malaysia Airlines, only to be passed around with no resolution.
We were left stranded overnight at the airport without any support. Ultimately, we had to spend an additional ₺30,000 to book a new flight to continue our journey. It is unacceptable that neither Qatar Airways nor AirAsia took responsibility or provided any assistance. I demand compensation for the costs incurred and better communication from Qatar Airways for future travelers.
