Poco F8 Pro Same Problems After Replacement
In April 2026, I purchased a Xiaomi Poco F8 Pro with 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite processor. From the early days of using the phone, I began experiencing several serious issues. During phone calls, the other person often cannot hear me. I am unable to connect the phone to my computer or laptop for internet tethering. WhatsApp video and images sometimes display with visual distortions, and the device never fully charges to 100%. Because I believed these issues indicated a structural problem with the device, I took the phone to Xiaomi's authorized service center.
Approximately one week after leaving the phone with the service center, I was told that they could either refund the device or replace it. After repeatedly insisting and calling them several times, I was informed approximately 15 days later that the phone had been replaced with a brand-new unit. I received the replacement phone today, completed the entire setup and installation process, and then performed various calling and usage tests. Unfortunately, the exact same underlying problems are present on this supposedly brand-new device as well.
When I contacted customer service, I was simply told that there was nothing else they could do and that I would have to take the phone back to the service center again. They have taken no concrete steps toward resolving the problem. I clearly explained to both the service representatives and customer service agents that I no longer want this particular series because I believe there is an underlying issue with this model, I cannot reliably communicate on the phone, and I am experiencing all of the problems described above. I also stated that I was willing to pay the difference for a higher-end model and asked them to accept a refund based on the phone's current price on their website, issue me a refund receipt, and allow me to use that amount toward purchasing a higher-end model by paying the difference. Despite this, they simply told me that they do not offer such an option and provided no alternative solution.
I have been dealing with significant loss of time and effort with this brand for approximately four months. Living and working in a metropolitan area, the process of taking the phone to the service center, picking it up, and dealing with traffic has been extremely disruptive. Today alone, I spent approximately three and a half to four hours traveling just to drop off and collect the device. Despite all of this, I have been unable to speak with a manager, receive proper information from an authorized representative, or find anyone who can take responsibility for resolving the issue. Based on my experience, I have found both the recurring problems with the product and the brand's approach to customer communication and problem resolution to be extremely inadequate and frustrating.
My request is straightforward: considering these recurring problems, which can also be verified through the service records, I want Xiaomi to accept the return of my phone based on its current retail price, issue me a refund receipt, and provide the necessary assistance so that I can use that amount toward purchasing a higher-end model. I want this matter to be resolved permanently and fairly without being prolonged any further.
