On April 9, 2024, I had a confirmed flight with Pegasus Airlines—but due to overbooking (selling more seats than the plane’s capacity), I was denied boarding. As compensation, they gave me a free ticket and said I could use it within one year. That seemed fair at the time, but now it's March 2025, and after two full weeks of trying to use this ticket, I still can’t get a clear answer.
Every time I contact customer service, they tell me it’s being reviewed by a "specialist team" and that I’ll hear back in another 96 hours. Then the cycle repeats. For two weeks, they’ve failed to resolve something as simple as verifying a PNR number. This is unacceptable.
Because of their delay, I missed the flight I was planning to use the free ticket for—and had to pay out of pocket for a new one, despite having a valid compensation ticket. Now, I’m asking for the expiration date to be extended and the ticket to be made usable immediately.
If Pegasus thinks they can stall for a full year to avoid honoring this ticket, they’re wrong. I will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board on Monday, and I’ll use every platform I can to make this situation public.
Request Number: 12271350 — I expect a real response and immediate resolution.
