Pegasus Denies Responsibility for Broken Suitcase Zipper
After my PC1894 Gaziantep–Ercan flight on January 30, 2026, I noticed that the zipper on my suitcase was broken when I collected my baggage. There was no such issue before the flight, but after the flight the zipper became unusable, making it impossible to open and close the suitcase normally. I immediately reported the situation to airport staff, and damage report/file number 14319005 was created. However, after the report was reviewed, I was informed that responsibility was not accepted because my suitcase was allegedly of poor quality and had opened for that reason. I strongly reject this explanation, because I have experienced baggage damage before, and the common factor in all cases has been my Gaziantep flights. So far, three of my suitcases have been damaged after Gaziantep flights with Pegasus. I do not believe this repeated situation is a coincidence, and I think that baggage on the Gaziantep route is not being handled with sufficient care. To resolve my grievance, I request that my most recently damaged suitcase be replaced with a new one and that baggage handling procedures on the Gaziantep route be reviewed to prevent similar incidents in the future.
