Pegasus Airlines Suitcase Damage Complaint
On 18-01-2025, I travelled with Pegasus on flight PC1017 from Istanbul to Cologne, booked under the name Lahcen. When I received my baggage after the flight, I discovered that my brand new suitcase had been seriously damaged. The zippers had been cut off, and as a result, the entire zipper system is destroyed, making the suitcase completely unusable and essentially only good for scrap. I paid 120 euros for this suitcase, and although it was new, the store's warranty does not cover this kind of damage because it was clearly caused by mishandling and cutting of the zipper during baggage handling. I reported the issue to Pegasus and, as with their standard procedure, I only received an automatic email stating that they will not take responsibility for the damage. This is the first time in my life I have experienced such a problem with my baggage, and I find it very disappointing that clearly externally caused damage is dismissed without proper investigation. I request that Pegasus accept responsibility for the damage to my baggage on flight PC1017 and compensate me for the 120-euro suitcase that was rendered unusable due to the cut-off zippers. I expect a fair and customer-oriented solution to this issue.
