Pegasus Airlines Charged My Card Without Authorization
Pegasus deducted ₺20,000 from my card without my authorization. A week ago, unauthorized charges appeared on my credit card from both Pegasus and Air Arabia. I promptly disputed the charges, and Air Arabia resolved the issue and refunded the amount within 3 days. I initiated the dispute process with Pegasus simultaneously.
Pegasus initially responded to my email saying, “The information provided shows that the amounts have been processed. If you believe the charges were made without your knowledge and consent, you may dispute the charge with the bank associated with the card used for the purchase.” I requested an invoice for the transaction and the ticket if one was issued. In response, I received an empty email with no information.
I then called their customer service at 0850 399 17 01 and requested the invoice again. They told me no transaction was recorded for the charged amount. I questioned why I received an email stating there was a transaction if none existed, but received no reply. They said a relevant department would call me, and I provided two phone numbers and available times. Six days later, I received an email stating they couldn’t reach me at the first number provided. I called the call center again, provided the second number, and was told to provide the first number again. Despite my previous clarification, they claimed there was nothing more they could do.
I resubmitted my availability and phone numbers. Dealing with this company has been incredibly frustrating, and despite having flown with Pegasus for perhaps 200 of my 300 flights, this experience has led me to consider them finished as a reliable option. I hope no one else is forced to deal with such a problematic situation.
