Pegasus Airlines Charged Me but Canceled My Flight Booking
Yesterday, I purchased a ticket through Skyscanner for a Pegasus Airlines flight from Çukurova (Adana) to Lefkoşa (Nicosia) on November 1 at 3:00 p.m. I was redirected to the Pegasus website, where the ticket price was displayed as 2,264 TL, or 3,096 TL including additional baggage. I completed the payment and purchased the ticket. However, when I later checked my flights in the Pegasus mobile app, I realized that the ticket was not listed.
When I called Pegasus Airlines, I was told that my ticket had not been confirmed because the fare had changed and that the payment would be refunded. Today, I checked my bank account and found that the amount had been charged to my card. However, the system states that the ticket has been canceled, and no active booking is visible. I have tried contacting the Pegasus call center again, but I have been unable to reach a satisfactory resolution.
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that, when I checked today, the fares for the same flight were identical to those displayed yesterday. If the system genuinely failed to confirm my ticket because of a price increase, why are the fares still the same? If the price did increase, why was this change not clearly and transparently reflected in the mobile app and throughout the booking process? I consider this practice highly misleading and believe it puts consumers at an unfair disadvantage.
I made this booking from Mersin using the Pegasus mobile app under the name Handan Ş** and purchased the ticket for Beste Ş**. My PNR code is 2HNJCM. I request that Pegasus issue my ticket at the price I have already paid and resolve the inconvenience caused by this situation as a matter of urgency.
