Pegasus Airline Ignored My Complaint – Charged Extra for Luggage

I had a nightmare experience with Pegasus, and I’m absolutely furious. My daughter needed a wheelchair bag while flying back from Rome, so we asked at check-in whether we would need to pay an extra fee if we bought one at the store inside the airport. They said no. We bought the bag, but just as we were about to board, they told us we had no luggage allowance and forced us to pay €50 for a single bag (which is ridiculous). The person we spoke to couldn’t speak a word of English or Turkish and didn’t understand anything we were saying. After nearly missing our flight, we finally gave them the money. Then, once we landed in Istanbul, the bag arrived with a broken handle.

To make matters worse, when we tried to file a claim at Sabiha Gökçen, they sent us back and forth for an hour. My daughter had an asthma attack from the stress and exhaustion. It felt like you were trying to kill my daughter, I was so desperate! I have had enough of this treatment. I’ve now filed a complaint with the Consumer Court and will continue pursuing this until it’s resolved. Avoid Pegasus – they have no respect for customers, just looking to make a quick buck.
