PDF Editor Charged a Monthly Subscription After a One-Time Payment
On June 24, 2026, I used the Pdfeditor.org website solely for a one-time PDF editing service and paid approximately $1 for the transaction. However, when making this payment, I was not given any clear or transparent information stating that I would automatically be enrolled in a paid monthly subscription after a weekly trial period.
On July 1, 2026, I noticed that approximately $25 had been charged to my Halkbank credit card without my authorization or explicit consent. This charge was made without my knowledge or intention. As soon as I noticed the charge, I immediately canceled the subscription.
My intention was only to purchase a one-time PDF editing service. Despite this, I was automatically enrolled in a subscription without being clearly informed and charged a significant amount. I find this practice extremely misleading and unfair. I am therefore requesting a full refund of the approximately $25 charged to my card as soon as possible. Otherwise, I intend to initiate a chargeback through my bank and report this transaction as misleading billing.
The email address I use for communication is n************@gmail.com.
