On October 22, I purchased the Origins Mega Mushroom toner from Viaport The Cosmetic Company for about $62. I recently started using the product, and for the past three days, every time I’ve applied it, I’ve experienced severe redness, burning, and a bumpy texture on my face. Each time I used it, the same reaction occurred; even after washing it off, the burning and redness lasted for about half an hour, and the bumps on my skin did not go away.
When I bought the product, the employee told me that the toner was “suitable for all skin types” and did not give any warnings. I also wasn’t provided with any written or verbal information about returns or exchanges. After experiencing the reaction, I called the store, but they refused to help, saying, “we cannot accept returns on opened products.” I gave the product a chance and used it for three days, but the result was the same each time.
I do not accept the store’s response, especially given how severe the reaction was from a used product. I am requesting a refund and a return of my payment. If necessary, I will take legal action.
